What is Autism?! Autism is a disorder that has to be diagnosed by a professional and not just your primary care physician or your child’s. Autism is a condition which prevents you or your child to communicate and show social (appropriate or decent) interactions. It also effects the nervous system. This is a condition that cannot be cured. There is no cure for autism, there are treatments and support groups but no cure. Did you know that it shows in various ways from behavior, developmental, physiological and cognitive? It can also cause other illness that are treatable that can last for a lifetime. 

        My son suffers from what they call HIGH FUNCTIONING AUTISM, but there is no cure, and he will never be as we know NORMAL. But then what is normal? Normal by definition is conforming to a standard; usual; typical or expected. Are we all in this day and age NORMAL? For that to hold true no one would be different or have individuality. So, for myself and my family he won't be similar to us with how we interact, speak and do things but he is completely normal. He's a breathing, babblings, mobile human just expressing himself differently. Do you know someone with similar features? Have you considered that it's not because they want to be that way, but they can't help it? Most don't because it's truly not talked about. I've learned a lot over the last year with all the different types of testing that has had to happen for my son and my family to undergo. It wasn't easy and was not painless it was most def. the most painful thing I've ever had to experience.
