Finding Dental Coverage in MAINE after Covid-19

 Dental Nightmares for those insured with MAINECARE or just with shitty ass bad luck!

News flash folks- people pretend on the internet all the time although sadly today I've got the medical paperwork to prove what was done to me when I was there and for what reason. Yucky! DENTAL

    I'm 33 years old, with five tattoos, pierced ears and I have birthed seven children, with that being said I am a complete BITCH when it comes to pain. I hate pain, I can't stand pain and don't take to it very well and normal pain medication doesn't seem to do the darn trick at making me feel all that better. Ok keep in mind I'm 16 weeks 5 days pregnant and the only thing I can take while pregnant is apparently Tylenol. YAY! Not, it's a royal pain in the ass and I mean that with all the consideration in the world. So, today after dealing with the fact that I'd had pain since well Friday last week and it's clearly Tuesday I mustered up the strength to drive off to the ER since that's what the local dental office said to do since they couldn't get me in as a walk in today because they were already booked. Joyful right, I mean come on guys you've had almost a year to better yourself from covid-19 and you're still using it as an excuse to why you're still booking out till the end of the year let alone not taking new patients' period. So now here I sit with a nerve block wearing off, already took my Tylenol to brace myself for the amount of pain that's to come shortly, antibiotics to help cure the infection while I sit and search for a dental office that's taking new patients that are under Maine Care. Wish me luck because at this point, I'd believe I'd have better chance of taking the tooth out myself.

Aspen Dental (Does not accept MaineCare)
Community Dental Lewiston (Not taking new patients)
Community Dental Farmington (Taking New Patients in November)
Androscoggin Dental Group *TAKING NEW PATIENTS with MAINECARE come June* way closer than November.... have been told to call back closer to mid-may though to get on schedule cause they're not doing wait list

Trying to find other locations can't do much without having paperwork in systems which is messed up book the appointment, send out the paperwork or email it and have the patient send it back or drop it off or bring it to their appointment... don't make them do all your leg work. GRRRR
